KINGSTON, JAMAICA – April 11, 2024 – Known for its richness, authenticity, and tantalizing tastes, Jamaican cuisine is next to none. Now in its 7th year, Jack Daniel’s Backyaad BBQ Food & Music Festival will create the ultimate culinary experience embracing Jamaican cuisine with up to 12 vendors on location. The event, which began in 2017, has paired the best Jamaican foods with whiskey mixes and cocktails, creating a hub for Gastronomic tourism.

Promoter of Backyaad BBQ, Carlton Davy, has been keen on promoting Gastronomic tourism in Jamaica. He shared, “This branch of tourism has people making trips to Jamaica for the main purpose of enjoying and exploring local food and beverages; I believe that Backyaad BBQ creates a medium to diversify tourism in Jamaica”.  He added that people attend the event for a “unique food festival experience” combined with great fashion and beverages. “We cater for everyone in providing options for meat lovers, vegetarians, pescatarians, and vegans to enjoy. Backyaad BBQ ultimately combines food, music, fashion, and the best in whiskey”, added Davy.

Backyaad BBQ Food & Music Festival will feature up to 12 food vendors such as Plantain Smokehouse, Veggie Campus, Brishnells House of Flavor, Bad Dwag, Rocksteady Seafoods, and City Flames Grill (formally called Jungle Fiah) to name a few.
