What is the Release? The Release is a Caribbean entertainment, lifestyle television program and entertainment website. The show showcases new releases and reviews in music, food, fashion, and technology attracting a variety of target groups. The average viewer is ages 18 – 45 years old male and females that have an interest in one or more of the four themes we showcase. The program is described as ‘Urban’, ‘Caribbean’, and ‘Trendy’. International Appeal The Release showcases Caribbean content from several islands in the Caribbean, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. We presently have active teams in New York and Florida in the USA and purchase content from other markets. The content is in turn edited to the nature of show. Our main office is in Kingston, Jamaica. Content The Release showcases new releases in music, fashion, food, and technology. For music we showcase new music releases, highlights from festivals, and new artist features. For fashion we showcase new releases in fashion, features top Caribbean designers, coverage of major fashion shows, and fashion trends. In food, we showcase new chefs on the rise, new food trends, food festival highlights, and new recipes. While in technology we showcase new tech trends, new technologies and their features. Annual activities in Jamaica The Release School TourThe Release tours high schools and colleges providing a stellar entertainment package while supporting a positive message at each stop. We have promoted: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Social Responsibility to name a few. The Release Street Recognition Awards The Release believes in promoting and endorsing street culture. We reward individuals who have assisted in building the dancehall culture but are often forgotten. The Release Fraternity The Release Fraternity is a large group of Jamaican College students (presently enrolled), who have an interest in Entertainment and Lifestyle. The Fraternity started back in 2018 through the collection of data from The Release College Tour throughout Jamaica. The Fraternity receives its communication through weekly e-newsletters with entertainment and lifestyle stories and features, discounts, giveaways, and other exclusive special offers.
