The Release Innovation College Tour was off to a great start today with the first stop being at The University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica. The tour featured displays from JN Way, Western Union, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Jamaica Library Service, and the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO), to name a few.

The tour now in its 3rd year, added UTECH as first timers. Executive Producer, Talisa Taylor said “UTECH experienced the tour for the first time today. I appreciated the fact that the students who were in attendance learnt a great deal from some of the exhibitors on location”. The tour’s second stop is slated for Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Brown’s Town Community College in St. Ann. Taylor added “Brown’s Town has always produced the largest number of student attendees over the two years we have visited the school, so this year I have no doubt it will be bigger and better”.

The Release Innovation College Tour is set to visit 8 selected Colleges in Jamaica hosting a free Tech and Lifestyle Fair and Concert under the theme ‘Accelerating Innovation in the Digital Age’. With several new companies set to join the tour further down, The Release team is eager to visit the remaining 7 schools. “We are expecting more tech related groups to join in as the tour progresses. Brown’s Town is definitely in for a treat” said Joseph Moore, Executive Producer of The Release.
