Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the hinderance of events in Jamaica, Lucas L3 has released the single and video for ‘Ryde’ that has the females bubbling and gyrating their waistlines to his lyrical instructions.

Lucas L3, who is also the producer of the song and riddim (of the same name), says “the single is not a part of an album or EP,” but was just one of those songs designed to make the females dance and have a good time.He declared, “The song is definitely a dancing song for females. The genre is Reggaeton fused with Afro Beat and my fans love it. Everyone in my community of Linstead likes the energy of the song plus the video and is helping me to push the song”.

An official video posted on Lucas L3’s YouTube channel, has so far received 15,000 views and counting. He adds, “the idea of the video (which was shot in Downtown, Kingston by Christopher Campbell from Icey Jace Film), was to capture the London-style street dance of females dancing and partying in the city, and so far, the reception has been great”.

In the meantime, ‘Ryde’ continues to gain radio and other media support and was #1 on Deezer on the Jamaican Charts for the month of July. It was also featured on a recent mixtape by CD Johnny from St. Mary and will be followed by ‘Boom’ which Lucas L3 says will help him garner an even larger female fan base. With numerous projects on the way, the ‘Ryde’ artiste aims to build his brand in the Jamaican entertainment industry before spreading his wings.
