Kingston, Jamaica– December 10, 2024, marked the official launch of the 39th staging of Genesis Praise Fest, organized by Jamaica Youth for Christ (JYFC). The highly anticipated event was launched at the all-new Hyundai showroom in New Kingston, a proud sponsor of Genesis 2025.
Hosted by the esteemed Dr. Nadine Blair, the launch event brought together key stakeholders, including major players in the Gospel and Entertainment communities, as well as sponsors Chase Funds, Kingston Wharves Limited, Chas E Ramson, Yummy, JPS, and others.
A Legacy of Excellence
Genesis Praise Fest has been instrumental in propelling the careers of many gospel artists who have achieved international success. The Minister of Culture, Entertainment, and Sports, Olivia Grange, endorsed the event, with remarks delivered by Ms. Ariane Roxburgh from the Minister’s Office. The Minister highlighted Genesis’ significance as the longest-running Gospel event in Jamaica and the Caribbean, dating back to 1986. Despite facing numerous challenges, including natural disasters and funding constraints, JYFC has consistently triumphed in staging this iconic festival.
She noted that Genesis has played a pivotal role in launching the careers of many renowned Gospel artists, providing a platform for them to showcase their talents and propel them to international success. This year’s lineup is no exception, featuring an impressive array of local and international Gospel artists
Empowering Emerging Artists
The Lime Light segment, sponsored by JPS, will feature emerging gospel artists, including:
