Students of Browns Town Community College turned out in their numbers for The Release Innovation College Tour. The event began at 10 am on Friday, October 25th and saw students showing a keen interest in the exhibitors’ booths and was equally excited about the pop-up concert. Under the theme ‘Accelerating Innovation in the Digital Age’, The Release team came prepared to educate and entertain.

The Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO) and the Company Office of Jamaica were two of the exhibitors that were met by curious students who had an interest in entrepreneurship. Kawain Fearon of the Company Office of Jamaica said, “The tour is good; we had a lot of students visiting our booth. We are here to spread the message that there are benefits to being register in Jamaica and operating a formal business in Jamaica”.

The Release Innovation College Tour in its 3rd year also featured groups from JN Way and Western Union. “We have some great companies on board this year. We want to see a lot more technology, so we have new groups joining us in November” said Executive Producer of The Release, Talisa Taylor. The lifestyle and technology expo is open to beauty and cosmetic brands, business development companies, technology companies and inventors.

The concert featured performances from Mr. Lexx, QQ, Zagga, and Macka Diamond to name a few. Taylor added, “The concert is always a hit with the students. They love the high energy performances after a long day of school, but we try to maintain the cause throughout the event”.
