Jamaican music star Blvk H3ro today shares the new single “Cool Runnings”, from his forthcoming sophomore album.

Along with the track, produced by Bob Riddim and Dennis “Greatest” Hamilton, the rising singer/songwriter has just shared the official “Cool Runnings” video, directed by noted Jamaican director 300k (Koffee, Popcaan, Protoje).

The track, along with its corresponding visuals, plays like an intimate conversation between two lovers, as Blvk H3ro gets familiar with a romantic interest (played in the video by dancer Shaneaka Gibbs) visiting from overseas.

Blvk H3ro (aka Black Hero) is one of Jamaica’s most exciting young talents, having built a fervent fanbase over the last half-decade with exciting solo tracks like “Feet Don’t Fail” and “It Nuh Easy” and collaborations with the likes of Skillibeng, Swing Ting and UB40.

Rooted in reggae and dancehall, his music expands those genres’ parameters to include influences from R&B, dance music and beyond, creating a sound that’s distinctly Jamaican, yet notably international.

Fresh off 2020’s New Millennium, a collaborative EP with fellow deejay Wayne J, he is set to drop his sophomore project later this year via Delicious Vinyl Island, the new Caribbean music imprint from iconic L.A. rap label Delicious Vinyl. This will be H3ro’s second album, following his 2019 debut release, The Immortal Steppa.

“Making the songs so they feel like a conversation, that’s me as an artist,” Blvk H3ro explains of his approach to songwriting.
