Tested and developed at new technical center in Shimoyama, Japan

Driving performance enhanced through rigidity, chassis and suspension enhancements

New Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 offers enhanced standard safety features
Expected to make its world debut at the New York Auto Show in April, the new 2021 Lexus IS was instead unveiled virtually. Tested and developed at the highly demanding Shimoyama Test Course in Japan, the 2021 IS writes the next chapter in the book of compact luxury sports sedans.

With its enhanced chassis and suspension, linear steering, and lower, wider stance, the IS aims to forge an indelible bond between driver and machine. It also features a new multimedia system with available 10.3-inch touchscreen and next-generation Lexus Safety System+, to ensure the IS is as innovative as it is thrilling.

Since its debut nearly 20 years ago in the U.S., the IS has thrived on creating exhilarating driving performance in the form of a true rear-wheel-drive luxury sports sedan. The new 2021 IS, which is expected to arrive in dealerships in late fall of this year, looks to expand upon the legacy it has carved out in the compact luxury sports car segment over the previous two decades.
